Kenya Peaberry is grown in acidic soils which provide the perfect conditions for African coffee that is known for intense flavours and well-rounded aroma.
The Peaberry variety of bean, also known as ‘caracoli’, is created when a coffee cherry produces a single bean and this phenomenon only occurs in around 5% of coffees.
Kenyan Peaberry is a rare bean, a single oval bean that sometimes appears inside the coffee fruit in place of the usual two flat-sided beans.
Peaberries generally embody the characteristics of a coffee with somewhat greater intensity and sweetness than normal beans from the same crop as its said to have “double strength”
